MAKE-UP LOOK #6: GLITTERED SMOKEY EYE

Welcome beauties,

Are you bored and want to add a little spice or drama to your life? Well you are in the right place, it’s all about the drama today. Letting our eyes do all the talking and less from our mouth.

This is a beginner’s tutorial on achieving this look. This look might be viewed as a difficult one to achieve but its far from it. You need to select highly pigmented eye-shadow in a range of different colors. It doesn’t have to be black but black is my best pick.

HOW TO ACHIEVE A SMOKEY LOOK WITH GLITTERS

Lets run through the basics of this look and the basic things that are needed.

  • EYESHADOW BRUSHES

Use your eyeshadow brush set which consists of angled eyeliner brush, blending brush, smudge brush,  eyeshadow brush and so on. This look requires a lot of blending so just keep blending till you smoke the look out.

  • PRIMER

Pat the primer gently on your eye lid to ensure your eyeshadow stays intact. Urban decay eyeshadow primer works so well. We don’t want the eyeshadow moving about, so its required to have a base before applying eyeshadow.

  • CONCEALER

Make use of your concealer to hide dark circles or any dark areas around your eye, so it won’t kill the look. It also helps when you apply eyeshadow at the top of your under eye.

  • EYESHADOW PALETTE

Blend a dark shadow from your lashes to the crease of your eye. Use an angled brush to apply at your lower lash line. It doesn’t have to be black – try grey, dark brown, forest green or navy. This would add a bit of sexy to the look.

You can also add glitters to this look to make it dazzle.

  • LINER & HIGHLIGHTER

Line your top lash line and inner bottom lash line to define your eyes. You can also highlight your brow bone to open the eye area.

Finish this look by putting on a false eyelash or use a mascara to curl your lashes.

  • LIPS

Apply something light on your lip. Nude lipstick or a tinted lipgloss.

What is your thought on this look? Smokey or Nah?
