MAKE-UP LOOK #5: “No Makeup, Makeup Look”

Do you want to emphasize your natural beauty? You want a toned down makeup? Nothing too loud, right? If you do then keep on reading.

A full on makeup with the dramatic eye is favorable to makeup lovers. It is only normal to do what one pleases with their face, either going dramatic or having just a simple face with minimal makeup.

We all want that “I woke up like this” makeup look. We don’t want that cakey face, that makes it obvious that “Oh, she’s got makeup on”. Nope, we do not want that. What we want is having makeup on but still looking like we don’t have any on. That’s the idea.

The “No makeup, Makeup Look” is my favorite. It is more like my go to look, if not my everyday makeup look.

NO MAKEUP, MAKEUP LOOK.

Lets go Natural, #TeamNatural.

How do we achieve this effortless makeup look ?

Before you start this makeup look, you need to prep your skin by either exfoliating to remove black heads or going over your daily skin routine.

Apply a moisturizing Primer on your face or a skin brightening primer.

Concealer is more like your best friend for this look. If you have acne, scars, dark sports or any form of discoloration that you want to cover up. Use a light concealer preferably in your skin tone or one shade lighter to cover them up. You need to dab, blend and build up coverage in thin layers. Remember we are going for a light look and not a heavy one.

First off, foundation is not needed, using a bb or cc cream is advisable. If you don’t have any of these you can still make use of a lightweight foundation but in small quantities. We are not trying to cake the face, so let it blend into your skin.

Using more of cream based products work better than powder. Powder tends to cake the skin after a while but if you have to use powder, a little would do. We have other powder form products like blush, highlighter and so on. Swap the powder form of these products with the cream version. Natural looking blush should be used on the cheeks and also highlighters on places the light hits your face.

Apply light strokes of your pencil to your brows and conceal. It shouldn’t be too dark.

Mascara is perfect for bringing the eyes out, especially the voluminising and lengthening ones. Natural false lashes are allowed, if they are not dramatic. Applying a pencil liner close to eyes helps emphasize your natural beauty.

The lips should look very natural , either by applying any shade of nude or better still a lipgloss does the trick. If you are going for a lipstick, a semi-matte or a shiny one would be okay.

To finish the makeup, apply your finishing spray to give you a natural look.

Is this your go to look? Are you for of a natural or dramatic look person?

  1. I love that you mix high end products with affordable ones. The beauty guru industry gets tiring now that it’s just become “look at all the fancy products I have”. Not to mention everyone is doing the same overdone look. I’m really digging this less is more approach. You’re a natural beauty for sure.
